Wilde Salome
Directed by: Al Pacino
Starring: Al Pacino, Jessica Chastain, Kevin Anderson, Estelle Parsons

Synopsis: In Wilde Salome, Oscar®-winner Al Pacino uses a powerful mix of documentary, scripted narrative and improvisation to unravel and re-interpret Oscar Wilde's once banned and most controversial work, a scintillating tale of lust, greed and one woman's scorn. The film makes its debut at the Venice Film Festival on Sept. 4, following a ceremony that will present Pacino with the Jaeger-Le Coultre Glory to the Filmmaker award. Pacino describes the film as "an exploration into the world of Oscar Wilde the artist, and the emancipation of a work that lives on." The Venice Film Festival calls Wilde Salome "an unprecedented behind-the-scenes look at Pacino's odyssey: a master class of insight into this cultural icon."
